MANAGER/SENIOR MANAGER, TECHNICAL FINANCE & CONTROL
Reporting to the Head of Financial Planning & Analysis, the successful candidate will perform the following duties. This role will be based in Singapore.
Main Responsibilities:

Budgeting and Financial Impact Analysis
- Define and manage standards and processes for budget definition, evaluation and control within the Technical Department for all aircraft-related expenditures.
- Compose transition, capital expenditure and repossession budgets.
- Review project budgets and timelines to ensure budgets are not excessive.
- Analyse corporate income statement, balance sheet and cashflow impact of technical expenses, maintenance reserves and return compensation.
- Develop models, strategies and solutions to optimize new and used aircraft maintenance cash flows and related to the repair, overhaul, lease-in, lease-out and sale of engine assets.
- Develop and execute financial reporting within the department and to internal stakeholders.
- Benchmark technical transition and modification costs. Manage and maintain a cost benchmarking database.
Technical procurement and asset management
- Keep track of General Terms Agreements (GTAs) for MRO and technical services. Manage RFP process and co-ordinate negotiation of GTAs.
- Manage all financial aspects of procurement activities for the Technical Department.
- Develop and manage processes and tools to track assets held by the Company and managed by the Technical Department (e.g. surplus spare parts), including accounting impact of asset addition, sale or scrappage
- Contribute to development and implementation of cloud-based forecasting solution to automate future maintenance reserve cash flow projections.
- Review all incoming invoices for VAT and withholding tax.
Financial Aspects of Maintenance Reserve Cash Flows
- Review and refine technical MR/RC accounting standards.
- Develop a rolling 24-month portfolio-wide maintenance cash flow model, projecting future maintenance cash reserve and return compensation receipts and future maintenance reserve reimbursement outflows for each asset in the portfolio.
- Oversee maintenance-related forecasts and price adjustment mechanisms for aircraft sales and secondary leasing campaigns.
- Support long-range planning for aircraft investment and divestiture decisions.
- Prepare MR cash flow budget each year.
Projects and Others
- Undertake workflow / process improvement and automation, including redefining business processes.
- Participate in and contribute to maintenance cost related and other technical projects. Write related reports and develop presentations for technical and financial management of BOC Aviation.
- Other tasks as assigned by the Head of FP&A, Head of Technical, or CEO
Requirements:
- At least 5 to 7 years of relevant working experience in finance, technical/engineering or maintenance function in the airline, MRO, OEM or aircraft leasing industry.
- Relevant working experience and good knowledge in accounting or corporate finance.
- Possess good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly in MS Excel modelling.
- Good communication skills, and self-organised.
- Diligent and able to work under pressure and complete tasks within tight deadlines.
